Burgundy Wedding Styling at Tortworth Court Hotel

There are some venues that do half the work for you and Tortworth Court Hotel’s is most certainly one of them. The Orangery bathed in natural light framed by historic stonework and glass architecture, it provided the perfect backdrop for this beautifully styled burgundy themed wedding.

Ceremony Styling

In the Orangery

For the wedding ceremony, our brief was clear classic elegance with a rich burgundy accent. We enhanced the Orangery’s natural beauty with soft, luxurious styling elements that drew the eye gently towards the ceremony table.

Ceremony décor included:

  • A luxury cream aisle carpet, creating a soft and romantic walkway
  • Bay trees positioned to frame the ceremony space
  • White chair drapes, finished with burgundy roses and trailing greenery for a refined pop of colour
  • A low and long floral arrangement on the ceremony table, featuring cream and burgundy tones
  • A burgundy chiffon table swag, draped elegantly across the front of the ceremony table for added softness and depth

The result was a ceremony space that felt intimate, polished, and perfectly in keeping with the venue’s grandeur.

Wedding Breakfast Table Styling

For the wedding breakfast, the styling continued seamlessly into the dining space, ensuring guests experienced the same sense of luxury and attention to detail.

Guest Table Décor featured

  • Elegant gold hoop centrepieces
  • Floral arrangements in cream and burgundy flowers, styled asymmetrically on each hoop
  • Three glass baubles per table each housing a softly glowing tealight candle to add warmth and ambience

These centrepieces brought height, structure, and a contemporary edge while still remaining timeless—ideal for couples seeking a modern classic wedding look.

Top Table

The top table was dressed with a soft burgundy chiffon table swag, flowing gently across the front to mirror the ceremony styling and tie the entire room together.

Finishing Touches

For guest cards, the couple hired our ever-popular red Royal Mail post box, a charming and traditional touch that also doubled as a statement styling piece—practical and nostalgic (always a winning combination).

The seating plan was displayed on a rustic hoop stand, with individual table cards suspended from burgundy satin ribbons, blending rustic charm with refined elegance and continuing the colour theme beautifully.
